Information we process

Account information, including an app user ID and, if you choose to protect your account, your email address. Your display name and profile photo are optional.

Recipe content you provide, including photos, screenshots, links, ingredients, steps, notes, collections, meal plans, and cooking history.

Preferences you choose, such as cuisine, dietary, unit, theme, notification, and personalization settings.

Subscription and recipe-pack entitlement information from Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. InstaPlate does not receive your full payment-card details.

Product interaction and diagnostic information used to operate, secure, and improve the app, such as feature events, error details, app version, and device platform.

How we use information

Provide recipe capture, AI extraction, search, personalization, synchronization, cooking, planning, and account-recovery features.

Verify subscriptions, restore purchases, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.

Understand feature performance and diagnose crashes and errors.

Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

AI and service providers

When you ask InstaPlate to extract or modify a recipe, the content needed for that request may be securely sent to our processing services and AI providers. We limit the information sent to what is needed to return the requested result.

We use service providers including Supabase for authentication, database, and private image storage; RevenueCat and the applicable app store for purchases; Sentry for diagnostics; and AI, search, and speech providers for features you invoke. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own platform terms.

Device permissions

Camera, photo-library, microphone, speech-recognition, notification, and location permissions are optional and requested in context. Camera and photo access import recipes. Microphone and speech access support voice features. Notifications support timers and reminders. Location is used on-device for optional sunrise and sunset theming and is not uploaded by InstaPlate for advertising.

Storage, retention, and security

Recipes are stored locally and may be synchronized to your account when cloud services are configured. Private recipe images are stored with owner-scoped access controls. We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain security. No system is perfectly secure, but we use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed.

Your choices and rights

You can review and change permissions in device Settings. In InstaPlate Settings under Data & Privacy, you can export your data or delete your account and associated cloud data. You may also contact support@instaplate.app to request access, correction, deletion, or other rights available where you live.

Children

InstaPlate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can remove it.

Changes and contact
